- The NGL Report does not mean an appraisal, valuation or guarantee. NGL makes no any representation or warranty in regard to its reports, articles described thereof and or any inscriptions stated therein.
- The contents of NGL report is solely the parameters and characteristic of gemstone defined after it has been examined, tested, graded and analyzed with the techniques and equipment handled by NGL during the specific time of conducting the test progress.
- Corundum is normally quite possible to be enhanced or treated during its life time. It is therefore the comments pertaining to the treatment and/or enhancement mentioned in the reports are based on the specific time of testing under progress within the premises of NGL. It is inevitable to test again the gemstone when the period has elapsed and if the ownership of gemstone is changed.
- The client solely agrees for the responsibility and to hold the NGL & its personnel harmless from all injuries, loss, damage or destruction of articles that are entrusted for examination whilst under possession of NGL resulting whatsoever the cause unless and until the proven negligence of NGL or its employees.
- NGL or its employees shall not be liable for any vulnerable special or consequential damages for any error in or omission of any report or its issuance of usage when advised of the possibility of such damages.
- The NGL and its personnel shall not be liable for any loss, damage or expenses for error in or omission from any report or for its issuance. Although it is used and if caused by or resulting out of proven negligence or fault except found that the proven willful misconduct, gross negligence or fraud of NGL and its employees.
- The laboratory has the right to deny the issuance of a gemstone report or whatsoever at any circumstances.
- The corundum only will be given with the opinion of specified heat treatment.
- The Natural corundum (i.e. Ruby & Sapphire) are usually enhance color and clarity via heat treatment. As a result of this the color retain and stable under normal condition of display, wear and storage. It has become well known and established so considered as legitimate trade practice.
- Main two types of treatments are commonly available in the market i.e. High and Low temperature heat treatment. It is quite challenging and time consuming task to provide opinion whether it is being treated or not. We give our opinion under comments category with our level best purview when the customer is particularly concerned.
- “No indication of heat present”. The gemmological properties does not indicate that heat enhancement has been applied.
- Enhancement by heat without residue will be given as “Indication of heat present”.
- The heat indication, modification or alteration made by surface diffusion via chemical element of foreign sources as symbol “H (BE)”. Hence the treatment of “BE” stones are normally shows highly indicative of inclusions and or color rim along the griddle.
- In order to enable test treatment with advance innovative process by light elements analysis process is required by LIBS/LAICPMS to carry out a precious method of testing.
- Opinion concerning origin mainly for Corundum, when possible, professional opinion can be given for the locality based on inner characteristics of the gemstone, upon request of the client.
- Corundum with fissures, fractures or cavities that filled with foreign substance (i.e Lead Glass) by heat treatment to improvise the clarity shall be defined under comments as “indication of heat & Clarity enhancement present”
- The treatment of certain gemstones are undetectable namely; Citrine, Smoky Quartz, Spinal, Amethyst, Aquamarine, Tanzanite, Topaz, Tourmaline, Morganite and Zircon etc.
- NIZ-AWARD golden seal is gifted for unique Corundum only based on “4C” (Colour, Clarity, Cut & Carats above two) categories by NGL.
- This report becomes null and void once any changes are made to the gemstone and any amendments on the contents.
- The report of NGL name, trade logos, marks, security marks and the slogans should not be reproduce as a whole or part of it. The prior written authorization should be taken for advertising, publicity and promotional activities and for any other events.
